Pesach (~Passover) Festival dates 2023
The important thing is to have a Pesach Seder, which is a community service including a ceremonial dinner held on the first evening of the Passover. The Seder is in commemoration of the exodus from Egypt.
This past year was a regular biblical Hebrew year with 12 months.
Festival dates: according to sighted moon and aviv/abib barley reports from the land of Israel.
First Day of Biblical Year# (Day 1 of Month 1): Friday March 24th
Passover/Pesach Seder (Day 14 of Month 1): Thursday April 6th
First Day of Feast of Unleavened Bread/Chag HaMatzot* (Day 15 of Month 1): Friday April 7th.
Last Day of Feast of Unleavened Bread/Chag HaMatzot* (Day 21 of Month 1): Thursday April 13th
Feast of Pentecost/Shavuot * (50th Day starting with Wave Sheaf Day): Sunday 28th May. (Leviticus 23:11; 23:15)
